Online e-payments for school meals and trips

Ysgol Gyfun Gŵyr operates an on-line payment system to help reduce administration and cash handling
in schools and also to allow pupils to reduce the amount of cash they carry to schools. This is in
conjunction with the Cashless Catering System.

iPayImpact is an online payment service that allows you to top up your child’s school meal fund so that they may purchase food using the Fusion Online app. iPayImpact also acts as a preferred way of paying for school trips and events.

The Fusion Online app is used to purchase food from the canteen in school. It’s a pre-ordering system, so you can order food and be given a order number to use in the canteen to collect it.

Below, you will find information about the collection time slots during the day as well as documentation such as guides and troubleshooting support that will make your use of our catering ecosystem easy.

Support

Your child will have received a letter from the school containing the relevant information needed to set up the iPayImpact and FusionOnline accounts. If you would like a copy of the letter, please email the school at ysgolgyfungwyr@yggwyr.swansea.sch.uk.

For more help with FusionOnline, please visit the FusionOnline Help Page where you can find the answers to the most frequently asked questions.

Refund Guidelines

Valid reason for requesting a refund:

  1. Any payment errors
  2. Accidental orders

Illness – Order cancellations before the day’s cut off times will automatically refund any money spent on the order. So make sure to cancel your orders if your child is ill.

Any food that is already cooked/made-up in preparation for collection will not be refundable, so ensure that the order is cancelled before the stated cut-off times.

Non-perishable items such as drinks and sauces are able to be refunded after the cut off times.

Cut off times are listed towards the bottom of this page.

For anyone that doesn't have access to a mobile or tablet device to download the app, there is a web version that students and parents can use to order food.

The web version can be used on a home computer or laptop, as well as any mobile device clicking this link: https://fusion.crbcunninghams.co.uk/

How ordering works at Gwyr

Orders for Breakfast, Break Time and Lunch time can be placed anytime on the previous day up until the cut off times listed below:

Breakfast: 8:30am
Break Time: 10:00am
Dinner: 11:00am

There is a late order menu labelled "Last Minute" that is available up until 13:15, but features a cut down version of the main lunchtime menu.

Once an order has been placed, the user will be issued a receipt containing an order number, timeslot, date, cancellation cut off info and an option to cancel the order. This information can be viewed by clicking the "View your orders" section within the Home menu of the app.

In the canteen there are 3 collection points, one for cold and two for hot food. The student will join the corresponding queue based on what they have ordered. When they have reached the counter, a kitchen staff member will ask for the students name and order number.

As this is a pre-ordering system, all orders are prepared beforehand to the exact quantity of all the orders for the day. This means that there is much less wastage and food is served without delay.

If any problems occur during collection or with the app, there are members of staff as well as a technical member of staff on hand to assist.
